If I hear anything else about this, I’ll let you know.
A mother and son have been punished for apparently drowning their pet hamster because they thought it had ringworm (which, it turns out, it didn’t). After reading through the awful story, there be a small quote from the prosecutor, Judith Curry, that stands out to me:

You will never comprehend how proud I am that England have made it to the World Cup Finals. Granted, it’s not exactly the English representation that I hoping for in the final, but it’ll have to do.
Now, Mr. Webb – a bit of advice: send every one off! Then you will be the only one left to lift that trophy. And don’t forget to say the words “Come and have a go if you think you’re hard enough!”
Do us proud, my son.
